PhD defence: Iben Sandal Stjerne

In order to obtain the PhD degree, Iben Sandal Stjerne has submitted her thesis entitled: 'Transcending organization in temporary systems. Aesthetics’ organizing work and employment in Creative Industries'

Monday, December 5, 2016 - 14:00 to 16:00

How is work and employment organized in project based industries? This research advances our understanding of the organization that transcends the firms, in this example how aesthetics organize work and employment, beyond the scope of the individual film production company in the Danish film industry.
Adopting a practice based perspective, this dissertation emphasizes the role of aesthetics in how people are selected, the way people do careers, and how projects are organized in creative industries.
