How can sustainability research be made relevant to civil society as well as business? How can societal relevance be achieved without compromising a critical research agenda? What kinds of foci and formats can be fruitfully developed in order for research to benefit society? Bobby Banerjee

Professor of Organisational Behaviour, Cass Business School

Bobby's primary research interests are in the areas of sustainability, climate change and corporate social responsibility. He has published extensively in leading scholarly journals and is the author of two recent books: Corporate Social Responsibility: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly and the co-edited volume Organizations, Markets and Imperial Formations: Towards an Anthropology of Globalization.

 

Peter Fleming

Professor of Management, Cass Business School

Peter's research focuses on the changing relationship between business and society, with special emphasis on Corporate Social Responsibility and new patterns of conflict in the workplace. He has also extensively studied the causes of organisational corruption in the private and public sectors. His recent books include: Why Work? The Corporatization of Life and its Discontents. Philadelphia: Temple University Press (forthcoming, 2014). The End of Corporate Social Responsibility. London: Sage Publishing (2013).

 

Claes Amundsen

Head of Communications & Fundraising, Save the Children, Denmark

Claes Amundsen is Director of Communication and Fundraising at Save the Children Denmark (Red Barnet).

Claes holds a degree from the Danish School of Media and Journalism. For more than 20 years he has worked with strategic communication management. He has been Director of Communication at the Danish Red Cross, University of Copenhagen and Danish Mental Health Foundation (PsykiatriFonden). In 2007 he established the consultancy firm Humankind with a special focus on strategic and engaging CSR communication.

 

Simon Boas

Senior CSR Manager, Carlsberg Group

Simon has extensive knowledge with the integration of CSR/Sustainability into business processes, and has since 2008 been developing CSR-driven solutions in the Carlsberg Group. Among others he has developed CSR Policies and Guidelines, reporting systems, KPI’s and targets, conducted training and been responsible for the annual CSR Communication. His most recent area of responsibility is the Sustainable Packing Programme which among others involves developing Cradle-to-Cradle solutions, creating consumer engagement and reducing the environmental impact of packaging.

Tina Donnerborg

Head of Commercial Activities, Red Cross

Tina is head of commercial activities at Danish Red Cross.
