We are beyond happy to welcome Professor Laura Empson as a new colleague at the CBS Leadership Centre!

Laura Empson is widely known for her breakthrough work on the concept and practice of collective leadership and for her commitment to translating her academic research to practitioner audiences - not least through the podcast series 'Leading Professional People' (https://lnkd.in/d2FMENsq).

Laura has been conducting academic research into leadership and professional organizations for more than 30 years. Beyond collective leadership, her research is within leadership dynamics, identity and culture, growth and change in professional organizations, and the future of professional work. Alongside her academic work, Laura acts as an advisor to the leaders of many of the world’s leading professional organizations.

Her most recent practitioner article 'How to Lead When the Future Feels Unpredictable' (with Jennifer Howard-Greenville) was published in Harvard Business Review in November 2024.

Besides the affiliation to the CBS Leadership Centre, Laura Empson is Professor in the Management of Professional Service Firms at Bayes Business School, University of London, and Professor of Leadership and Organization at Copenhagen Business School. She also holds Research Fellowships at Harvard Law School and Cambridge Judge Business School School, University of Cambridge.
