About the conference
Internet regulation in the European Union has proceeded as a set of fragmented efforts in discreet areas. Deep-reaching and quick-paced changes in the digital society have forced policymakers and the stakeholders to re-think their approach to regulation. Controversial modernization proposals are currently pending in telecommunications, privacy and intellectual property while marketing, consumer law and private international law have already been subject to significant changes. This conference aims to explore and discuss coherence in these efforts and to investigate how traditional legal institutions face change as a result of the intensive digitization of the society. The conference marks the publication of the Research Handbook on EU Internet Law (forthcoming, Edward Elgar 2014).( see speakers down below)
