Department of Strategy and Innovation
Christian Schumacher is an Assistant Professor of Strategy and Innovation at the Copenhagen Business School. He holds a MSc in Economics, a MSc in Business Administration as well as a BSc in Philosophy. He earned his PhD at the University of Vienna with a dissertation on behavioral strategy and then worked at WU Vienna at the department of Global Trade as Assistant Professor (non-tenure track). Christian was the holder of the Joseph A. Schumpeter Fellowship at Harvard University for the academic year 2019/2020, furthermore, he was a visiting PhD Student at INSEAD in Singapore and gained international working experience in Nairobi and Berlin. His research focuses on behavioral strategy and managerial decision-making in organizations and lies at the intersection of Organizational Theory and Strategy. His work has been published in the Strategic Management Journal, Strategy Science and the European Journal of Operational Research. He regularly attends international conferences such as Academy of Management, Strategic Management Society, or the EURAM conference to present his research.
