Timothy Kuhn is Otto Mønsted Visiting Professor in MSC, and is also Professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Colorado Boulder. To make sense of the complexity and messiness of organizing, he draws on practice-based thinking associated with Communicative Constitution of Organization and new materialist theorizing. His research on these themes addresses how authority, value, knowledge, and dis/order emerge in organizational practices; his recent book on these themes is What Do Corporations Want?: Communicative Capitalism, Corporate Purpose, and a New Theory of the Firm (Bristol University Press, 2024). He earned a BS and MA from the University of Minnesota and a PhD from Arizona State University (USA).
