When it is time to write your master thesis, which completes the programme, you also choose the topic you would like to explore in depth. After completing the programme, you have the opportunity to further develop your academic profile through 45 ECTS credits, which you can take as a specially designed course or individual subjects.

Opportunity to continue your education later in life
With a 1-year programme, you spend less time on your studies now and instead gain the opportunity to specialise or tailor your studieslater at no cost. This could be when you are well into your career and have a clearer sense of where it makes academic sense for you to build additional competences. It may involve individual courses or specially designed programmes that can be combined with work and family life.
Once you have completed courses corresponding to 45 ECTS alongside your job, you will receive a master’s supplement certificate documenting a total study volume of 120 ECTS. This can also be used if you wish to continue to a PhD programme.
