Lasse Heje Pedersen acquires a new nickname

Owen A. Lamont, a member of Acadian, advocates for a rebranding of economics and proposes catchy nicknames for some of its standout figures.

Among them is our esteemed center director, Lasse Heje Pedersen, from the Center for Big Data in Finance, whom Lamont fondly dubs "The Dane with the Brain." This moniker is well-deserved, particularly in light of Pedersen's acclaimed book, "Efficiently Inefficient," published in 2015. We wholeheartedly concur with Lamont's assessment.
