Firms in Developing Countries: A Theoretical Probe into the Borderland of Business Studies and Development Studies
Michael W Hansen and Henrik Schaumburg-Müller have just published an article in European Journal of Development Research:
Firms in Developing Countries: A Theoretical Probe into the Borderland of Business Studies and Development Studies
Vol. 22, page 197-216 (April 2010)
In the article the authors present how there is an increasing convergence between the academic interests of business studies and development studies, and identifies the areas in which there are potential for cross-fertilization between the two fields. This convergence underscores the need for an enhanced conversation between the two fields, especially within the era of globalization. Without this conversation, the authors argue, the predictive power of each field might be impaired.
