CALL FOR LONG ABSTRACTS – DEADLINE EXTENDED TILL THURSDAY 19 MAY

 

Copenhagen Business School Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility (cbsCSR) is very pleased to invite academics and practitioners to submit their work for presentation in the 2nd Nordic Symposium on CSR on Friday 17 June 2010 at Copenhagen Business School.

The Symposium is kindly sponsored by FUHU.

 

 

 

The 2nd Nordic Symposium on CSR will focus on ‘Stakeholder Perspectives and Scandinavian Approaches to CSR’, but welcomes the submission of abstracts and papers for presentation in broad areas of CSR. See topics in the call which you can download below. Plans for a special issue with final conference papers are being drafted with a top journal within business management.

Confirmed keynote speaker at the Symposium will be Professor R. Edward Freeman, the author of some of the most acknowledged work in the field of CSR and stakeholder theory, including ‘Strategic Management: A Stakeholder Approach’ (1984).

The Symposium will be preceded by a one-day PhD workshop with the participation of Professor Freeman, read more about the workshop.

Copenhagen Business School Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility (cbsCSR) is one of the internationally leading research centres and focal points for research and teaching in corporate social responsibility.

 

Beginning in 2002, the Centre’s now more than 30 researchers collaborate with an established network of local and international companies, organisations, public authorities and partner universities in conducting and publishing research as well as offering CSR teaching at a bachelor, master and executive education level.

 

The Centre thus works to promote a greater understanding of CSR in a broad sense, covering a wide array of topics within the broader CSR umbrella, such as CSR communications, responsible supply chain management, CSR and governance, sustainable consumption, ethical marketing, responsible leadership, business ethics, CSR-driven innovation and social entrepreneurship.
