New project launches Frederiksberg as the capitol of education

25000 students, 11 institutions of education at different levels, extensive professional environments, synergies between the administrative units, short geographical distances – all supported by the city of Frederiksberg. The involved institutions at Frederiksberg have just signed a cooperation agreement “Campus Frederiksberg”, and it is easy to point out the advantages of the new project.

The goal is to create a world-class learning environment, where students and staff can experience professional, social, cultural and organisational opportunities across the institutions of education.

The prospect of the cooperation is to get the students to take a cross-disciplinary approach to their studies, to be innovative, open to changes and to have a high degree of tolerance. This will create strong candidates, who are prepared to meet the business community and compete in a global world.

Campus Frederiksberg will be officially launched in September 2006 with a festive day and celebration arranged by the involved institutions. However, steps have been taken already to launch projects relating to innovation and internationalisation in the near future.

The involved institutions are: CBS, KVL, Falkonergårdens Gymnasium, Frøbelsseminariet, Hærens Officerskole, Den Danske Diakonissestiftelse, Den Sociale Højskole, Frederiksberg Seminarium, Voksen Uddannnelsescenter Frederiksberg, Forvaltningshøjskolen and the city of Frederiksberg.
