CBS professor to be co-editor of a new journal

Torben Pedersen co-editor of new journal

Global Strategy Journal is launched by the premier academic organisation in strategy, Strategic Management Society, and will be sister journal for the leading journal on strategic management, Strategic Management Journal.

- Right from the beginning, it has been possible to get support from all the leading players in the field. Our chances of quickly becoming a so-called A journal are good, says Professor Torben Pedersen from Center for Strategic Management and Globalization (SMG).

The journal was launched recently at the Strategic Management Society’s annual conference in Washington, D.C. and has two editors – an American editor and a European editor. These positions are held by Steven Tallman and Torben Pedersen, respectively.

CBS gets influence and a pat on the back

- As editor of a new journal, you have great influence on the research agenda within the particular field – in this case the tension field between strategy and international management, Torben Pedersen estimates.

- The premier academic strategy organisation has chosen an editor from CBS for their latest venture, because we at SMG have been and are at the vanguard of research in this area.
