Get one step closer to the career of your dreams at CBS Career Day, 9 February 2011

29 Danish and international companies share their experience on CBS Career Day.

Be prepared

Senior Adviser Finn Kjerulff from CBS Career Center stresses the importance of seeing a career fair as a possibility of information retrieval and networking.

- Career fairs are seldom scheduled at the time where the participating companies are looking for graduates, so their primary goal on a career fair like ours isn't to encourage the students to apply for specific jobs. The students should use the fair to sound the companies out, get an idea of their company culture and their employee profiles. Ask the companies which competences they prefer instead of programmes, Finn Kjerulff says.

The study environment – a perfect place for networking

It's never too late to start to build a network and get on track to choosing the right electives, relevant exchange stays or internships and topics for projects. Mark da Silva is a first-year bachelor student in International Business, and he sees CBS Career Day as an obvious possibility of getting inspiration for his coming years as a student and following career opportunities:

- To me, this day is a tool to get new insight into companies, in which I already have an interest, but also to gain knowledge of a number of new companies in a lot of different industries. I am still relatively new, and I don't know where I'll be in five years, so I'm planning to get inspiration during Career Day.

This year, you can meet representatives from:

KPMG, Danfoss, Abercrombie & Fitch, A.P. Møller-Mærsk, Danske Bank, PwC, Nordea, IBM, Partners Group, Illinois Tool Works, Euler Hermes, DSB, DONG Energy, Ernst & Young, Vestas, Nykredit, MARS, Wunderman, Prokura, Velux, L’Oreal, British American Tobacco, Novo Nordisk, Google, Grundfos, Accenture, Novozymes, Tryg and Deloitte.
