New external member of the CBS Board of Directors
The Copenhagen Business School Board of Directors has appointed Arvid Hallén, Director General of the Research Council of Norway, as new external member. Arvid Hallén has worked in the Council since 1995 and has participated in the evaluation of the Danish research council system and EU's Seventh Framework Programme.
He holds an MA in Sociology from Oslo University and has been working as a researcher and a research director in the Norwegian institute sector, where he has been head of the Norwegian Institute for Urban and Regional Research. Arvid Hallén has been appointed for a four-year period to begin on 1 February 2012.
The Board has also appointed Eva Berneke, CEO of the Danish telephone company TDC, as deputy chairman, and would also like to welcome three new internally elected members; Jakob Ravn, Senior Adviser, David Lando, Professor and Head of Department, and Morten Thanning Vendelø, Associate Professor.
