I am researching and teaching innovation and industrial dynamics. I study the mechanisms of technology and social innovation. Why and how does performance in innovation vary between countries and companies? What is role of different institutional and individual innovation actors in companies, universities and government?
I have studied dynamics in several industries, including air transportation, communication, engineering consultancy, energy, and information technology. My research encompasses comparative studies of innovation in Germany, Great Britain, France, and the United States. Studies of industrial dynamics in Denmark. I study innovation in networks of industry, government, and university. My current research opens innovation systems black box in order to provide a better basis for understating innovation processes.
