Invitation for Seminar with Kathy Zeiler

On the 15th of December at 3 pm we have the opportunity to welcome Kathy Zeiler, Professor of Law at Boston University (https://www.bu.edu/law/profile/kathryn-zeiler/) to the Law Department’s seminar series.

The topic is “the endowment effect”, i.e. the phenomenon that the payment people require to part with a thing they own may be higher than the payment they are willing to make to acquire the thing.

Professor Zeiler has examined whether the experiments really confirm the existence of this “valuation gap”. More broadly, her work raises the issue of the robustness of experimental findings.
