PhD defence: Sophie Marie Cappelen
The thesis investigates the temporal aspects of food organizing by examining two empirical settings in which actors aim to promote sustainable food initiatives. In doing so the thesis extends current theoretical understandings of how time constitutes an important resource for organizational action. The thesis aims to contribute to the discussion of temporal structures by showing the ways in which organizational actors engage in temporal work. It also aims to extend current debates on uses of the past, organizational remembering and forgetting, and temporal tensions.
