New members for the CBS Board of Directors

Both Peter Schütze, current Chairman, and Eva Berneke, Deputy Chairman, will by the end of 2015 have served on the Board of CBS for 8 years, which is the maximum prescribed by the University Act, and cannot be reappointed. The Board will therefore recruit two new external members this year. The election period for the internally elected VIP, David Lando and Morten Vendelø, and the internally elected TAP, Jakob Ravn, will also expire by the end of 2015. Furthermore, the election period will also expire for the student-elected Sidsel Green by the end of 2015.

At its meeting on 10 December 2014, the Board appointed Karsten Dybvad as new Chairman of the Board from 1 February 2016. The Board also appointed Karsten Dybvad as new Deputy Chairman of the Board from 1 June 2015. Eva Berneke, the current Deputy Chairman, will continue as member of the Board from 1 June and until her departure at the end of the year.

The departure of Peter Schütze and Eva Berneke means that two new external members will be appointed for the Board. The Board has decided a profile for the new board members. You can read more about that, and how to nominate candidates for the Board, here:

Employee representatives on the Board, two VIP and one TAP, are elected by CBS' staff for a 4-year period. The current election period will expire by the end of the year, and therefore CBS' staff will elect new members for the Board. The election will take place in November 2015.

The student representatives on the Board are elected on a staggered basis for a 2-year period. A student representative will therefore be up for election in November 2015.

The elected members of the Board may be renominated.
