Undervisningscases fra CBS bidrager til universitetsuddannelser verden over

The Case Centre, the leading European platform for teaching cases, has published its Impact Index 2024. Thanks to the global interest and the strong quality of cases authored by CBS faculty, CBS is once again standing among the top 15 most impactful institutions worldwide. CBS’s two case collections are continually updated with new cases, enabling students at CBS and other business schools worldwide to work with real business dilemmas.

Student engagement through case-based learning

Anna Thomasson, Dean of Education at CBS is passionate about case-based learning and continuously supports initiatives engaging faculty in case-based teaching and case development:

”At CBS, we aim that our students have the capabilities to tackle today’s complex challenges in business and society with a commitment to innovation and a critical approach. Integrating teaching cases into our programmes is a key element of our strategy to build both foundational knowledge and transformative skills in our students. Through case-based learning, students actively engage in the complexities of real-world issues, collaboratively working towards actionable solutions and recommendations.

Supporting our faculty in creating teaching cases allows us to bring cutting-edge research into the classroom and foster new collaborations – not only within CBS but also across industries, government, and civil society.

As part of this commitment, CBS continues to strengthen its case writing initiatives and proudly supports two distinct collections in partnership with The Case Centre – the Nordic Case House (NCH) and the Free Case Collection (PRME). The Free Case Collection further underscores CBS’s mission of creating societal impact and driving global change through education.

Ranking among the top 15 universities globally in The Case Centre Impact Index reflects the talent and dedication of our faculty as well as CBS’s ongoing commitment to impactful, high-quality business education. This achievement highlights the valuable contributions of CBS’s case writing to business education worldwide”.

CBS’s case collections

In 2021, CBS established the Nordic Case House (NCH) to research and write high quality cases that reflect business and managerial challenges in the 21st century. With a focus on the Nordic economic model, the Nordic Case House case collection supports the development of managers and leaders.

Since 2016, CBS has been developing the Free Case collection as part of a continuous commitment to the Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRIME). The CBS free teaching cases have a specific focus on sustainability and responsible management from a broad business and societal perspective. The cases and teaching notes reflect the diversity of CBS faculty and bring topical and complex issues to life in the classrooms.

The CBS case collections available through The Case Centre number 151 cases in total, many with accompanying instructor materials, software and videos. 15 of those are prize-winning cases.
