Why did I choose my programme?
When I decided to pursue a degree in International Business, my main reasons for choosing the BSc IB were the programme's strong international focus and the broad range of topics it covers. These appealed to me because I wanted to ensure that I kept as many options open as possible for both further studies and my future career.

Furthermore, I was highly attracted to the programme's strong reputation for attracting bright and ambitious students.

What do I like the best?
I truly enjoy the flexibility and freedom the programme offers. I have the freedom to select which lessons to attend, and the advantage of choosing when and where I prefer to study. 
I think that the 'quarter structure' of the programme is excellent. It enables me to concentrate on just two subjects at a time, providing a clearer understanding of the given courses' learning objectives.

What do I think is difficult?
Initially, I found the feeling of being self-reliant and “on my own” quite overwhelming. The method of teaching at university is very different to what I was used to from my upper secondary, and I found the transition tough. However, while I found this difficult initially, it has come to be the thing I enjoy most about life at uni.

What would I have liked to have known before starting my programme?
I wish I had known early on that everyone was facing the same challenges as me. From the initial anxieties about keeping up with the academic pace, to the stress of finding a suitable student job, it would have been reassuring to realise that these concerns are common among students. Understanding that others were also navigating these hurdles would have helped me feel more confident in managing student life at CBS.

What do I want to do after finishing my programme?
I would like to pursue a master's degree upon completing my bachelor's degree. I am inclined to do this abroad, but I am not sure yet.

If I could give myself a piece of advice, before starting it would be…
I would advise taking a step back to appreciate the university experience. Good grades matter, but you should not let them consume your life. Your years at CBS are limited, so make the most of them by also having fun while creating lasting memories and relationships.

Additionally, I would advise myself to stay organised and manage my time wisely. Starting to prepare for an exam the day before is not recommended.
