Presentation

Jesper Strandgaard Pedersen, PhD and Professor at Copenhagen Business School, where he serves as Director of Imagine .. Creative Industries Research Centre. He is Chairman of SCANCOR (Scandinavian Consortium for Organizational Research) based at Stanford University and Harvard University.
His research interests focus on organizational and institutional change and stability. Pursuing this research interest he addresses issues of institutional action and agency, industry emergence and field structuring and, organizational identity construction and legitimacy. Studies include cultural transformation processes in high-tech firms, mergers and acquisitions in knowledge intensive firms, diffusion and institutionalization of managerial concepts and practices in creative and knowledge-intensive firms. Another stream of his research has concerned changes and strategies for organizing and managing creative enterprises in the film and culinary field. His most recent research focuses on cultural and market intermediaries and evaluative practices in the fields of film and gastronomy.


His research is published in international journals like Organization Studies, Management Learning, Organization, Scandinavian Journal of Management; American Behavioral Scientist and in the co-authored books: The Negotiation of Values in the Creative Industries: Fairs, Festivals and Competitive Events, (2011) Cambridge University Press; Technology and Creativity: Production, Mediation and Evaluation in the Digital Age. Palgrave Macmillan Publishers Ltd.
