In order to obtain the PhD degree, Daniela Micu has submitted her thesis entitled:
Essays on Design Science in Management and Marketing
I conceptually investigate design science in management and marketing, aiming to extend its application to marketing. In a world where disruptions and technological advancements challenge fundamental paradigms and methods, design science is a pragmatic problem-solving approach, that can facilitate the creation of artifacts for enhancing future outcomes. Among others, this thesis systematically explores the current use of design science in management, discusses research challenges and directions, and proposes design science as a novel paradigm for understanding marketing phenomena. To exemplify, the thesis conceptually develops a novel theoretical framework for digital platforms dynamic value creation.
