The Chinese Dream - Challenges for China and the World
Abstract:
According to Xi Jinping, the Chinese dream is about the nation's great rejuvenation, which is about to come true after more than 170 years of tireless campaigning since the Opium Wars. In the new book “The Chinese Dream - Challenges for China and the world”, the former Swedish Ambassador to China, Börje Lunggren, analyses China’s current challenges when it comes to the rule of law, the internet and civil society, climate change and the global power shift. Based on first-hand experiences from the diplomatic relationship between Sweden and China, this lecture will give insights on how China can make the Chinese dream come true.
