CBS joins Danish regional office in Brussels

Since 2008 creoDK -  the Capital Region Denmark EU Office - has represented the University of Copenhagen, the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and the Capital Region of Denmark in Brussels. Now The Copenhagen Business School (CBS) is a part of creoDK.

By joining creoDK, CBS plans to enhance its involvement in the European Research Area and in EU’s research and innovation programme, Horizon 2020, which has a budget of nearly EUR 80 bn for 2014-2020. 

President of CBS Per Holten-Andersen says:

- We look forward to working with creoDK. We see a lot of opportunities in Horizon 2020, which focuses on solving societal challenges through better research and innovation across disciplines. Since 2008, creoDK has successfully helped their partners' benefit from EU research programmes. I expect the partnership of creoDK to help strengthen the overall cooperation between the three largest universities in Copenhagen and the Capital Region, and especially the business community in the region.

creoDK’s strategic objective is to promote the interests of the four partners vis-à-vis the European Union. The office works with advocacy for research projects and policy making through consultancy, matchmaking, network building, events and information. With the entry of Copenhagen Business School, creoDK will represent a significant part of Danish research and innovation in Brussels.

The office has a director and four staff members.
Since 2008, creoDK has been involved in attracting EUR 10.4m in research funding.
The partners of creoDK represent app. 40% of the Danish share of the EU's FP7 research program.
