The number of AAA-rated Danish companies has increased steadily each year since 2000. A record-high number of Danish companies have received Soliditet’s highest credit ranking AAA.

Exactly 12,670 companies were ranked, corresponding to 7.9 per cent of all companies liable to financial reporting. The non-financial holding companies are doing best. When looking at business sectors skilled craftsmen and consultancy companies stand out, writes the news portal i dag.dk.

Looking over the period from 2000, the number of companies with the highest credit rating has increased steadily. This year, 3,000 more companies were rated than last year which was also a record-high year with six per cent of all companies having an AAA-certificate. Many of the top-rated companies are repeated each year.

“The reason for the records is first and foremost that Danish economy is in top form and has been so for several years. This rubs off on the companies and results in solid accounts and better key figures,” says marketing director Anne Taylor Sundsfjord from Soliditet.

She emphasises that for Denmark as a whole it is a great advantage that so many companies have a high ranking. “It has a positive effect in the way that it creates more secure workplaces and larger net capital for growth and investments," she says.
