Job opening: Student Assistant to join PeRCent
What is PeRCent?
PeRCent is established to make high-quality contributions in the pension research area, mainly through publications in leading scientific journals and books in economics and finance. We also engage in teaching and dissemination activities. You can read more about PeRCent here.
Specifics about the positions
To support our research, we are looking for 1 – 2 student assistants to work an average of 15 hours per week, but there is a large degree of flexibility, including during exam periods.
In this position, students undertake various tasks, including data management for research projects, working on new research proposals, literature reviews, and preparing and taking actively part in international seminars and conferences hosted by PeRCent.
Expected start date is in August/September, 2021. During the COVID-19 lockdown you are expected to work from the distance. After the lockdown you are expected to be able to be present at the department at least once a week. However, this will be defined in more detail together with your supervisor.
Ideal Profile
We are looking for a student of economics or a related field. As you will support research projects with data collection and analysis, a good understanding of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required. Knowledge of software such as STATA and R are beneficial, but not a necessity. Solid grades in your current studies, an ability to work independently as well as a willingness/enthusiasm to learn new methods will also be important.

Salary and employment conditions
Employment will be according to the HK-organisationsaftale and the collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Offentligt Ansattes Organisationer (OAO-S Fællesoverenskomsten).
Salary and pension are determined in regard to HK-overenskomsten and is dependent on previous clerical occupation and level of education.
It is a prerequisite for employment that you are a student enrolled at a Danish institution in higher education or in a professional bachelor programme; and that, at the start date at the latest, you have a physical address in Denmark, a Danish social security number and a Danish bank account.
