My research focuses on China’s science, technology, and innovation policy as well as China’s use of Science and Technology Diplomacy to maintain and develop its participation in international science and technology value chains. More specifically I am interested in central and local governments’ investments in S&T, reforms affecting the S&T system etc., as well as how the government and government-affiliated organizations seek to ensure China’s participation in international S&T value chains.
I am co-coordinator of the "China Horizons - Dealing with a Resurgent China" (DWARC) project, a three-year research initiative (2022 - 2025) funded by the European Commission under Horizon Europe. More information: https://chinahorizons.eu/.
In addition to my role at CBS, I am also working part-time for the Danish Academy for Technical Sciences (www.atv.dk) where I am Head of Partnerships and International Relations. Prior to joining ATV, I worked for the Danish Foreign Ministry as Innovation Attaché at Innovation Center Denmark in Shanghai.
