"Let's not waste food" receives funding 

Food waste represents a multifaceted challenge, financial losses, severe environmental burdens, risks to food security, and deepening societal inequality.

To address these challenges, the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office has funded Dr. Jesper Clement’s joint research project “Let’s not waste food” that aims to strengthen the understanding the way young consumers interact with food and to discover strategies for decreasing avoidable household food waste amount in the Nordic region. The research will test selected methods to create and communicate guidelines for relevant stakeholders on household food waste reduction. 

Jesper will work together with Kaunas University of Technology in Lithuania and Natural Resources Institute Finland. The research project starts in spring 2021 and ends in fall 2022.
