PhD defence: Fabian Heinrich Müller
Onsdag, 6 juni, 2018 - 13:00 to 15:00
Inspired by the proliferation of valuations in today’s society, this doctoral dissertation investigates the perception of the multiplicity of valuation devices by actors involved in and affected by the valuations. In particular, this dissertation gives an answer to the question: “How are multiple valuation devices valuated by actors in and around the devices in the Copenhagen fine-dining context and what are the implications of this valuation?” The thesis contributes (1) to the understanding of valuation by opening the black box of how valuation devices work, (2) to the understanding of multiplicity by arguing for the (inter-)relation of valuation devices in fine-dining, as well as (3) to the understanding of reactivity resulting from valuations.
