Præsentation
My primary research interest is the dynamics of social stratification, social class and social mobility, as these dynamics play out over long stretches of time - mostly decades. I'm focused on the complexities of career paths in the labour market, as people traverse complex interdependent networks of organizations and other people. I use the differences in job positions and wage outcomes, often within birth cohorts, as benchmarks in my investigation of the stratification processes.
 
My tool for research, which is also a research interest in itself, is quantitative methodology. This means digital methods such as webscraping, but mostly, it means social network analysis and machine learning techniques applied to big data. I think a data-driven approach has a lot to offer, and I am very interested in developing and applying these methods in the realm of the social sciences, adapting them - with careful consideration -from their roots in the natural sciences and engineering disciplines. 
My main field for the application of most of these methods is the administrative microdata from Statistics Denmark. I also enjoy the discipline of data visualization.
