My research focuses on recent transformations in public sector organizations, with particular attention to frontline work and public encounters. For instance, as part of the DFF research project ‘Valuing Invisible Work,’ I have explored how digital technologies intertwine with frontline work, reshaping the tasks, roles, and relationships of frontline workers.
Currently, as part of the DFF project ‘RECORD,’ I am examining another dimension of frontline work, specifically why frontline workers prioritize different purposes of record-keeping in practice. My research adopts a practice-oriented perspective and employs a variety of qualitative methods, including interviews, observations, time studies, and document analysis.
