PhD defence: Vasileios Kosmas
The Ph.D. project targets two specific challenges emerging in global supply chains, in which both the maritime sector and international community can contribute within the context of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. The first issue is focused on the reduction of emissions in maritime transport through the enforcement of a bunker levy scheme, while the second deals with the enhancement of the maritime search and rescue operational effectiveness linked to migration by sea emergencies.
