Bastian & Boje
Bastian & Boje
a conversation about music and stories
The dialogue event can be seen on Youtube
Musical performance and storytelling performance are conceived here-and-now in a situated, embodied experimentation. However, when music and stories are recorded, the experimentation settles and petrifies.
IBC invites colleagues at CBS and others with an interest in this theme to a moderated conversation, where musician Peter Bastian and Professor David Boje share stories, experiences and research about emergence and performance of music and story. From different perspectives, they address how metaphors from among others quantum mechanics can describe such phenomena.
Peter Bastian and David Boje will give you a fresh perspective on how creative experimentation and action by the musician as well as the storyteller can lead to exceptional performance of music as well as organizational development.
Peter Bastian is a Danish musician, composer and author. He is educated in theoretical physics and classical bassoon, and is deeply rooted in both classical and rhythmic music. He is a member of critically acclaimed The Danish Wind Quintet (Den Danske Blæserkvintet) and the Danish band Bazaar. In 1987, he authored the bestselling, award-winning book “Ind i Musikken” which was followed up with “Mesterlære” in 2011. David M.
