When Chinese and Danish culture meet

The story is often told about how important cross cultural understanding is if you want to do business in China. But how does it look from the other angle?

Mandag, 28 april, 2014 - 16:00 to 17:30

How does the Danish culture look from a Chinese point of view? What do Chinese people experience as peculiar, when they come to Denmark, work with Danes and try to understand our view of the world? During this afternoon session we will explore why the differences of culture makes it both valuable and interesting to study in a cross-cultural setting. Opportunities for studying cross cultural settings will be investigated through a presentation of the master programme that CBS and the Sino Danish Center offers in Beijing.  Chinese students from the programme will share their experiences from their studies, and tell about the  skills you develop in such a context.

Time: Monday April 28th, 16-17.30

Venue: CBS, Solbjerg Plads 3, room SP113

Programme:

16:00 - Xin Li from the CBS Department of International Economics and Management will tell about his experiences of coming to Denmark, and what the many cultural differences mean for studying and doing business across the two cultures
