A Global Leader in Competitiveness
A Global Leader in Competitiveness
How did Denmark achieve it and how can this position be developed in the future
We are delighted to present the World Competitiveness Yearbook 2022 where Denmark for the first time ever gets appointed be a global leader. This is a truly remarkable achievement, especially given that the pandemic has affected all countries worldwide by giving rise to a health and economic crisis, and increasing geopolitical turmoil is also having a reversed impact for many nations.
To dig deeper into this ranking as number 1, The Center for Corporate Governance (CBS) is inviting you to the event “A Global Leader in Competitiveness”. The keynote speaker will be Professor Arturo Bris who is the director of the Global Competitiveness Center at IMD.
This event will focus on why Denmark has been selected to be the leading nation and what has contributed to this exceptional journey. There will also be a strong focus on what framework conditions have created this milestone, including the role of good corporate and public governance. Furthermore, there will also be a debate around the role and importance of the financial sector in this context plus where the focus should be in the future from a policy perspective, if Denmark or Danish firms want to keep building a leading position.
