Department of International Economics, Government and Business
Presentation
I’m an Assistant Professor of Japanese Business at the Department of International Economics, Government and Business at Copenhagen Business School, and an affiliated researcher at the European Institute of Japanese Studies at the Stockholm School of Economics. My research revolves around EU-Japan relations in green transformation and sustainability; dual transformation, innovation governance, entrepreneurship, and corporate venture capital in Japan. Prior to academia, I held various corporate leadership positions in business development, M&A, sales and marketing, and operations management in the technology sector (clean-tech, biotech, manufacturing) for over a decade. I have also advised startups and established companies on market expansion into Asian and Nordic markets and cross-industry innovation.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in environmental engineering, both from Osaka University (Japan). I received my Ph.D. in Business Administration, specializing in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology, from the Stockholm School of Economics, with affiliation to the European Institute of Japanese Studies and the House of Innovation.
