Interested in the fields of globalization studies?

On Friday 11 April 4:30 - 5:30, CBS and the theatre Camp X offer a unique opportunity to experience Pietra Rivoli whose globalization studies made known through books such as “The Travels of a T-Shirt in the Global Economy” have received international acclaim. The book has been called pathbreaking within the field of globalization and has been rewarded with several awards and honored with the title of Financial Book of the Year by Financial Times, Booz Allen Hamilton and Foreign Affairs. Last but not least it took the title as the best academic work within finance and economy in 2005 by the American Association of Publishers.

Professor Pietra Rivoli

Professor Rivoli, economist and professor at Georgetown University in Washington DC, is known for her extensive research in global economy with particulary interest in China. In 2006 she was rewarded a Faculty Pioneer Award by the Aspen Institute for her work in integrating social and environmental issues into the MBA curricula.

Rivolis book The Travels of a T-Shirt in the Global Econmy has been a major influence to the storyline in the theatical play Shopping, currently playing at Camp X Aveny until 26 April. The cast of the play consists of Peter Mygind, Ditte Hansen, Ellen Nyman, Benjamin Kitter and Marion Reuter.
