New members of the CBS Board of Directors
Following recommendations from CBS’ Recommendation Committee, the CBS Appointment Committee has appointed Pui Ling Lau (55) and David Hellemann (52) as new external members of the CBS Board of Directors. They will replace Michael Rasmussen and Mette Vestergaard, who have both served on the Board for eight years.
Pui Ling Lau holds a master degree in law from the University of Copenhagen and has had a long management career in Realdania, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister's Office and has also been head of the secretariat to Her Majesty the Queen. Moreover, Pui Ling Lau has had a career in the private sector and has more than ten years of experience from several boards.
David Hellemann is CFO/COO at Nykredit and holds a master's degree in political science from the University of Copenhagen. David Hellemann has had a long career in the Ministry of Finance, where he was permanent secretary until he moved to Nykredit. David Hellemann has previously been CFO and deputy CEO at DR (Danish Broadcasting Corporation) and has extensive board experience from primarily the financial sector.
Following the appointments, Torben Möger Pedersen, chairman of the CBS Board of Directors says: "I am very pleased that Pui Ling Lau and David Hellemann wish to become part of the CBS Board of Directors. Pui and David both have solid management experience from the private as well as the public sector. Moreover, they have extensive knowledge of the political system as well as a strategic eye for the challenges and opportunities that both CBS and society in general face in the coming years."

Pui Ling Lau and David Hellemann will join the CBS Board of Directors on 1 February 2024.
In addition to the appointment of the two new external members, the CBS Appointment Committee has reappointed external member of the Board Gunnar Bovim for a new four-year term starting from 1 February 2024.
