Conference arranged by Center for Tourism and Culture Management

Wednesday, May 17, 2006 - 13:30 to Thursday, May 18, 2006 - 16:30

Conference arranged by Center for Tourism and Culture Management

The coastal areas of the countries surrounding the Baltic Sea are in a process of developing into a European region. Many drivers comprise this process, and tourism is a vital element among them.

The conference deals with tourism strategies and management both in theory and practice. It concerns knowledge sharing of tourism activities and tourism as an economic growth factor. It includes benchmarking, quality development, and innovation of products and services, and how to apply both cultural economy and experience economy in tourism.

How to develop synergy effects and competitive sustainable advantages in a still more globalised world, is a key driver within tourism development, and must be better understood.
