Incentives and methods of collaborative software development

Abstract:

This talk tries to give a survey of the techniques used by developers in collaborative projects to handle communication, actual development and documentation. It also focuses on motivation and licensing aspects associated with open source projects.

The talk is given by an active developer in the field of cross-platform media software and gives insights from the viewpoint of daily practice.

Thomas Grill is an active developer in the field of cross-platform media software. He is also composer, musician and media artist and holds lectureships at the University of Applied Arts as well as the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Austria.
