A Seminar organised in cooperation with the Mexican Embassy in Copenhagen

Thursday, October 5, 2006 - 00:00

A seminar organized in cooperation with the Mexican Embassy in Copenhagen

Migration is one of the important themes on the international political agenda. The Mexican-US border is among the busiest in the world. The scale of Latino immigration has significant socioeconomic consequences for the US and has triggered a far-reaching public policy debate in Washington DC and the states. However, although commentaries have emphasised the impact of immigration on the US, immigration is also leading to profound changes in Mexico and the other countries of Latin America. The seminar will consider developments in both South and North America so as to offer a comprehensive picture of the migration process.
