Emiliano Grossman is Associate Professor at the Centre of European Studies of Sciences Po. His research concentrates on economic and financial regulation in the EU and political institutions. He has more generally focused on the variety of state-society relations in the EU and the challenges they are facing. At the same time, he has worked on the political systems of EU member states and the effects of the EU on politics, policy-making and political institutions in France. He is currently working on two major research projects. The first concerns the political agendas in France, which aims at creating quantitative indicators of political activity for the past 30 years or so. The second deals with the politics of financial liberalization in several EU member states over the past twenty years. He recently published with Patrick Leblond “European Financial Integration: Finally the Great Leap Forward?” in the JCMS.

Eleni Tsingou is Post-Doc Fellow at the Department of Business and Politics of the CBS. Her research work has focused on private authority in the financial markets, the role of transnational financial policy communities in shaping practices of regulation and supervision, and the development of stronger patterns of accountability in financial governance; she has worked on these issues especially with respect to the Basel II capital adequacy requirements and the treatment of OTC derivatives. Further research has concentrated on the global anti-money laundering regime and knowledge networks and gender in International Political Economy. Her current work focuses on the role of professional networks and knowledge in addressing global policy issues. She published recently with James Brassett “The politics of legitimate global governance” in RIPE.
