Workshop on Ellipsis and Anaphora

organized by Daniel Hardt

Monday, October 24, 2011 - 13:00 to 17:00

Ellipsis and anaphora are two central linguistic mechanisms by which one can avoid saying more than necessary, by relying on context and the intelligence of the listener.  For several decades these mechanisms have been a major preoccupation of researchers studying models of syntax, semantics and context.

This workshop, organized by Daniel Hardt (CRITT and Dept of IT Management) presents recent work by several leading researchers in these areas. There will be presentations by Maribel Romero (University of Konstanz), Line Mikkelsen (UC Berkeley), Bjarne Ørsnes (Freie Universitat Berlin and CBS) and Daniel Hardt.  See http://isvcbs.dk/dh/oct_lingworkshop.html for more information.

All are welcome!
