Who’ll come first – the Tortoises or the Killer Snail Express?
Relay race jubilee at the CBS Campus
Students from the Army Officer Training Academy, professors from CBS, and employees from Nordea Bank: All participants in the first ever CBS relay race. And the contestants haven’t held back on their creativity when it comes to the team names—on the route, you can meet, among others, the Prunes and the Psychopaths.
On Tuesday, 18th September, around 300 participants will by tying their shoelaces to take part in the relay race around the entire CBS campus.
Running across education
Behind the event are students from CBS Sport, the Jubilee committee, and the Department for Management, Politics and Philosophy. Student and Chairman for CBS Sport, Adam Kayser, is looking forward to the mixed bag of participants that include students from the Army Officer Training Academy, Niels Brock Business College, and CBS.
“It’s really great that we, as students, can join together for an activity that crosses institutions of higher education. It is immensely positive and shows that the 90 years jubilee is not just for CBS”, says Adam Kayser.
He is very happy with the number of participants, which has crept up to around 300.
“The plan is for the relay race to become an annual event. I think it’s brilliant that, already in the first year, we can gather so many students from the whole of Frederiksberg, colleagues from CBS, and participants from our Corporate Partners”, says Adam Kayser.
Also prizes for those finishing last
Every Tuesday, training has been arranged by both CBS Sport and the Department for Management, Politics and Philosophy for those who need to either get fit or keep fit before the three-kilometre race takes place. However, it’s not only the fastest that will be able to go home with more than their used running shoes. Apart from the first prize, there are also gifts from sponsors to be won via a raffle.
Activities will take place during the whole afternoon at Solbjerg Place and everyone is welcome to show up and cheer for their favourite team.
