Businesses and climate policy on the agenda
CBS Center focuses on the business world’s role in solving the climate problem
The International Center for Business and Politics (CBP) is placing a greater focus on businesses and climate policies. Professor Peter Nedergaard from CBP says:
- Businesses are becoming increasingly important players in the political initiatives to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases. Today, everyone agrees that the emission of greenhouse gases is a huge problem and that it is important to include all of the players to fight global warming and solve the climate problems. In this regard, businesses play an essential role and are also willing to take on this important role, Professor Peter Nedergaard emphasises.
New Danish text book on climate policies
Peter Nedergaard recently published the text book Klimapolitik – i Danmark, EU og internationalt (Climate policies – in Denmark, the EU, and Internationally) The book caters mainly to secondary school students and deals with the overall issues of the climate problem. Later this year, a text book about businesses’ and consumers’ roles in the climate issue will be published.
Project Manager of project on trade in CO2 quotas
The International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) selected him as Project Manager. 50,000 Euros have been allocated to the project, which will conclude with a report in June 2008.
