Ethical Fashion Day - Can sustainable fashion be fashionable?

The student organisations WELL and Develop are hosting Ethical Fashion Day at Copenhagen Business School, Friday 28 March 2008

Social and environmental concerns have come to dominate the top of the agenda - also in the fashion industry. The goal of Ethical Fashion Day is to create awareness about Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainable Development and the many ethical challenges associated with the production and marketing of fashion. Participation is free and for everyone - no registration required!

The day will include SEMINARS:

Experts from The Danish Consumer Council, The Confederation of Danish Industries, Max Havelaar, Clean Clothes Campaign and Kontrapunkt along with representatives from IC Companys and Anardo & Skyum will discuss what ethical fashion really entails, what effect it can have and in what direction it might be headed in the future.

And ETHICAL FASHION SHOW:

Ethical Fashion Show is a fashion show with sustainability as a focal point. The various companies will present their take on ethical fashion. The purpose of the fashion show is to show that ethical fashion indeed can be fashionable. The participants in the fashion show include: JJECO, Vero Moda, Righteous, Anardo & Skyum, SKIFt og Mette:s Afrika.
