Professor receives the Danish Business Research Academy Award

Anker Brink Lund was presented with DKK 200,000 and the title as business researcher of the year within culture and communication when the Danish Business Research Academy Awards were presented on Wednesday 19 November 2008.

- For his entire research career, Anker Brink Lund has been interested in media development, journalism, and communication. His research is original, targeted, and interacting with the surrounding community, says Jørn Lund, Chairman of the Award Committee.

- For instance, take a look at Projekt Nyhedsuge (project newsweek). For one week every year, the national news flow is studied. The project analyses the journalistic food chain, which is significant to innovative force, democratic decision-making processes, and industry development. With that, Anker Brink Lund has created crucial new knowledge – to media branch players as well as companies, institutions, and the general public. For these efforts he is awarded the Danish Business Research Academy Award for Culture and Communication 2008.

Improving innovation and competitive power of companies

The Danish Business Research Academy Awards are presented to researchers who have contributed to the improvement of innovation and competitive power of companies.

The Danish Business Research Award for Society and Business was presented to Professor Søren Askegaard and Associate Professor Per Østergaard from the University of Southern Denmark. They both conduct research in branding.

The Danish Business Research Academy Award

The Danish Business Research Academy Awards are established by the Danish Society for the Advancement of Business Education (FUHU). Two awards a year at DKK 200,000 are presented.

One is awarded within the field society and business. The other is awarded within culture and communication.

The awards are merit awards, and it is intended that the recipients use them for studies abroad that further develop research dissemination in Denmark.

So the aim of this award is to honour Danish researchers who have created outstanding research and dissemination results for the benefit of the competitive power of Danish companies.
