Inauguration of the Warehouse
The porcelain factory is now fully renovated
At one time, materials for production of royal porcelain could be found at the Warehouse at Porcelænshaven, Frederiksberg. Now porcelain manufacturing has been replaced by teaching.
The Warehouse is officially inaugurated on Tuesday 10 November, and a lot of CBS’s staff and students will be using the new building.
International Center for Business and Politics as well as Asia Research Centre have already moved into the building.
Third and last stage of the renovation
The inauguration also signifies the end to the large-scale renovation of the former porcelain factory. Most of the old factory buildings were completed in 2005.
The second stage of the project was renovating and rebuilding the Kiln Hall, which is now an assembly hall with a canteen, among other things. The Warehouse was the last renovation project in the series. Henning Larsen Architects was in charge of the Warehouse renovation project.
The City of Frederiksberg: successful project
In 2009, CBS was commended for the building by the City of Frederiksberg. The building was recognised as a beautiful addition to Frederiksberg.
”The building is singled out because it gives the old silo a ’facelift’ towards Frederiksberg Gardens in a playful and vibrant manner,” the City of Frederiksberg's architectural committee says.
