The Practical Experience of Acquisitions in China

Tue Tyge Møller returned last year to Denmark, having spent 6 years in China working for Danisco and VKR Holding focusing on identifying acquisition targets and acquiring companies in such diverse areas as food ingredients, thermal solar heating and vertical windows.

He will share his experience in how to identify a Chinese target for acquisition, how to start discussions with a Chinese company, the due diligence process, the hands on experience of integrating the acquired company and the many pitfalls along the way.

Before leaving for China, Tue Tyge Møller was CEO of the Australian packaging company Amcor’s 3 factories in Denmark, which he managed through a major and very successful restructuring. Tue joined Amcor from a position as Regional President of Danisco’s packaging activities in Southern Europe headquartered in France, which was acquired by Amcor.

Tue is trained in Denmark and the US as a lawyer, and has for many years worked in Danisco in different management positions and has a long practical experience in mergers and acquisitions.

Tue is today an independent advisor to European and Chinese companies and on the board of a packaging company as well as being involved in M&A activities especially within packaging.
