Presentation

Most of my research is empirically driven and concerns the organizational processes and practices that involve the materialization of  ideas, knowledge, product designs, projects and their often unexpected outcomes and transformations. The empirical domains are heterogeneous and spans automotive, electronics, building construction, transportation and medical devices. A common analytical approach across these empirical studies is the pragmatic  focus on the active (material) role of objects and technological devices, for example in shaping design options, strategic decisions and outcomes for particular projects and firms.

Primary research areas
  • Management Accounting and project management
  • Management accounting, strategy and organizational and spatial design
  • Consultants and accounting
  • The performative roles of accounting and economics vis-a-vis the economy
  • The role of accounting in public sector reforms
  • Accounting and the transition towards a sustainable circular economy
